Posting this from home because unfortunately I am sick...I was sick before Sakura-con, during and after! Sakura-con was fun, and the weather was so nice and I got to see lots of people, but I definitely would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so sick...also I got major blisters from my shoes as well as cramps, so I was sick head to toe! GAH!

But either way, I was happy with all my costumes in the end and I really enjoyed being Princess Rosalina! *kolibri-chan really really wanted to cosplay the Mario Kart biker suits and I was a little hesitant to wear a white fitted body suit ... but I love the bright colours and all the cool details on the costume so of course I agreed. We got to do some fun crafting with these costumes for the crowns, broaches and earrings. We did some resin casting which was really cool and I definitely want to do more of that for future costumes.

I used the awesome and simple tutorial for my luma from ~clearkid -- Luma Plush Tutorial -- Check it out!

I was wondering what material you made this out of, it looks like some kind of thick lycra or something. I'm cosplaying the biker version of Peach soon and am kinda stuck with material, I can't seem to find anything thick enough :/

I can't actually remember what the material is called. It was more like a thin sweat pant fabric.
One side was softer and the other was smooth, with some stretch. You can look in the yoga/athletic section of your fabric store.
We wanted it to be pretty comfortable.
Sorry, I hope that sort of helps!?

That helps tons! Thank you very much! XD
I can see what you mean now, so, sort of like a kind of extra stretchy jersey material?

Ok good! :XD: yeah kind of a jersey material, worked for the jumpsuit because it was a bit warmer and soft on the inside so we didn't have to line it! And then the stripes (teal parts) were out of a more lyrca/swimsuit style fabric because thats the only thing i could find in the colour I wanted. It was pretty thin so we doubled it (not on the gloves though). :)
